In the heart of Rioja Alavesa, between gentle hills and stone villages, rises the imposing Sierra de Cantabria.<\/p>\n

It is not just a geographical feature: it is the natural wall that protects our vineyards, the shield that modulates the climate and guards, like an ancient secret, the soul of the wine that is born at its feet.<\/p>\n

Under its protection, the vines grow sheltered from the north wind and nourished by the temperate breeze from the south. This combination of factors – altitude, orientation, soil and light – gives rise to wines with soul: intense, fresh and full of nuances.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

Each site surrounding the winery -Laguardia, Crip\u00e1n, Lanciego- is part of a mosaic that enriches our winemaking personality. Here it is not only about growing, but also about listening to the land, interpreting its signals and respecting its rhythm. <\/p>\n

Lar de Paula’s environment is not just a simple scenery: it is a main actor. It is the invisible origin of everything we are and the silent force that accompanies us in every vintage.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

La Bodega: where the land breathes wine<\/span><\/span><\/h2>
<\/div>

Our winery is located in the small enclave of Elvillar, at an altitude of 600 meters above sea level. The terrain is chalky, hard, demanding. But it is precisely this difficulty that gives character to the roots, tempering each vine and marking the profile of grapes full of intensity and depth. <\/p>\n

The cool mornings and sunny afternoons, favored by the altitude and orientation, allow for slow and balanced ripening. The thermal amplitude between day and night concentrates the aromas. The Ebro valley to the south provides humidity and fertility. The mountains, to the north, protect from wind and excess rain.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>
