To make them respect it, tell them that under the ground lie the souls of our ancestors. For we know that the Earth does not belong to men, men belong to the Earth.
Lar de Paula: History and Tradition since 1964
A heritage rooted in Rioja Alavesa
The history of Bodegas Lar de Paula is a journey that begins in 1964, with the arrival in the Rioja Alavesa and the beginning of a trajectory marked by the passion for wine and respect for the environment.
Over the years, the experience was forged in different winemaking projects, until it was consolidated in the small town of Elvillar. Lar de Paula was born in 2004 as a result of this accumulated knowledge and the desire to pay tribute to those who have given meaning to the legacy that continues to grow today.

Excitement in each vintage
From its origin, the winery was conceived as a bridge between two worlds: the wisdom of the past and a look to the future. With the incorporation of new generations and the technical commitment of those who grew up among the vineyards, a way of understanding wine was promoted that combines traditional practices -such as manual harvesting and barrel aging- with a contemporary vision based on precision and detail.
Today, each bottle of Lar de Paula contains not only the character of a unique land, but also the memory of a family that has made wine its way of living and transmitting. A story that continues with each vintage, keeping alive the essence of those who started it, between protective mountains and fertile valleys that continue to give grapes with soul.
